Broad Oak Manor is registered to care for 25. residents each appointed a private
room, many of which, particularly in the new wing are set out with ensuite
facilities. All of the rooms are well equipped with nurse-call systems, telephone
with private extensions and television points. Tastefully furnished and decorated,
the rooms may be adapted to suit the preferences of the individual.
The centre has several reception areas including a well stocked library which
additionally benefits from wonderful garden and courtyard views forming the centre
of daily activities. The dining room and lounge are both situated on the ground
floor. The use of facilities in the grade II barn conversion are also available
for residents, family and friends visiting the home. Whether it is a hot drink in
the coffee bar, a meal in the restaurant or just sitting and relaxing in the
peaceful atmosphere provided within the lounge/ library area, all are welcome.
The extensive well tended grounds complete with croquet lawn, and aviary can be
enjoyed by residents, family and friends. A sensory garden has been created in
the shape of a sun dial forming a central focus for the garden and providing both
visual and sensory pleasure. All areas of the care centre and the garden are easily
accessible to everyone including wheelchairs. The upper floors of the manor are
serviced by a lift.
